Andre Maloney Scholarship Initiative

Make It Big. Carry the Legacy Forward.

Andre Maloney was more than an exceptional football player. He was a son, teammate, friend, and inspiration to the Shawnee Mission West community.

Though Andre passed away in 2013, his impact continues through the people he inspired, the Simone Awards' defensive back award named in his honor, and the message he left behind: Make It Big.

Through MiB, we're working to establish an annual scholarship and long-term endowment in Andre's name, creating opportunities for future generations of Shawnee Mission West students.

Our Commitment: $500 Every Year. Forever.

MiB is pledging a minimum of $500 annually, indefinitely, toward the Andre Maloney Scholarship Initiative.

For the first 2–4 years, our plan is to award one $500 scholarship each year, funded through MiB's annual commitment.

During this time, additional contributions will help build the long-term scholarship endowment.

As the endowment grows, our goal is to increase the annual scholarship amount and eventually establish a sustainable source of funding that can support future generations.

Three Ways We're Building Andre's Legacy

1. MiB's Annual Pledge — $500 Every Year

MiB is committing at least $500 every year toward honoring Andre's legacy and supporting students at Shawnee Mission West.

2. MiB Clothing — $5 From Every Item

For every piece of clothing sold through MiB, $5 will be allocated toward the Andre Maloney Scholarship Initiative, helping grow the future endowment.

3. Community Contributions — Building the Endowment

Every separate contribution made through this page is intended to help establish and grow the scholarship endowment, beyond MiB's annual $500 pledge.

This Is Just the Beginning.

We're starting with a $500 annual scholarship, but our vision is much bigger.

We want to build something that continues to grow, supports more students, and keeps Andre's legacy alive for generations.

Every contribution, every shirt, and every year brings us closer to that vision.

Everyday a Blessing. Make It Big.

Important Contribution Information

Contributions made through this page are collected by MiB LLC toward the proposed Andre Maloney Scholarship Initiative.

The official school-administered scholarship/endowment is still being established. MiB intends to direct separate contributions toward the future endowment rather than use them to fund its initial $500 annual scholarship pledge.

Contributions are not currently represented as tax-deductible charitable donations or direct donations to Shawnee Mission West.

Details regarding fund administration, transfer of contributions, and what happens if the endowment cannot be established will be finalized and disclosed before contributions are accepted.
